Tips for making flatbread

  • You want to try to work quickly with this dough, as it tends to get stickier the longer it’s at room temperature
  • Rest your breads on a plate with a clean tea cloth wrapped around them to keep them warm and fluffy while cooking
  • Using olive oil to roll out the breads is so much better than flower, as it both helps with lubricating the pan when cooking, but it also makes sure there is no flower being burnt on the outside when cooking the bread
  • Don’t stress about making a perfect circle when rolling out your flatbread, i usually just try to get it as close to a circle as possible, but the misshapen flatbreads only adds character and doesn’t subtract from the flavor, so don’t worry about it
  • The Garlic & herb butter is completely optional, The flatbread will taste great with or without it
